An established organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance and accounting function. This role is responsible for financial planning, reporting, internal controls, compliance, and providing strategic financial insight to senior leadership. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a hands-on approach to financial management.
Lead and manage the full finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management reporting
Prepare accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, governance, and financial policies
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities
Oversee payroll coordination, procurement controls, and expense management
Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, banks, and external advisors
Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making
Support business planning, cost optimisation, and long-term financial sustainability
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and compliance
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Minimum 3–5 years in a senior finance or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks
Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commercial awareness
Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments
Exposure to regulated or structured organisations
Knowledge of UAE financial regulations and compliance requirements
Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
