Financial Analyst
Role Overview:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing accurate financial statements, and developing MIS reports to support strategic decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statements (FS):
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Perform variance analysis between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Management Information Systems (MIS):
- Design, develop, and maintain MIS reports for management and stakeholders.
- Provide insights on financial performance, KPIs, and trends.
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget adherence and highlight deviations.
- Data Analysis & Decision Support:
- Analyse financial data to identify risks, opportunities, and cost‑saving measures.
- Support business units with financial insights for strategic planning.
- Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- General Ledger (GL):
- Manage and reconcile GL accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Post journal entries and maintain proper documentation.
- Perform monthly and year‑end closing activities.
- Fixed Assets (FA):
- Maintain fixed asset register and ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation.
- Conduct periodic asset verification and impairment reviews.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards for FA.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CA preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in Audit, financial analysis, financial statement preparation, MIS reporting, GL accounting, and fixed asset management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Experience in automating MIS reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of industry‑specific financial metrics.
