Job summary

Amazon is expanding its Customer Fulfillment Finance team in Dubai, seeking a Finance Manager who thrives on data-driven decision making. You will partner with operations leaders and tech teams to produce timely financial insights, build forecasts, and influence cost optimization across the Fulfillment network.

You should have extensive experience in KPIs, financial reporting, and process improvement, with a track record of delivering actionable analyses that improve controllership and customer

Qualifications

• 6 years of applying KPIs to analyses
• 6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets
• 6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
• 6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale controllership
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business or 5 years of quantitative experience
• 6 years of data quality identification, root cause analysis and escalation planning
• 6 years of delivering financial models, analysis and recommendations with measurable impact
• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis

Key job responsibilities

Earn trust of your business partners to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions that lead to business improvements and cost reductions

Works independently: Proactively partners with manager to prioritize and focus on high-impact activities and to deprioritize those which are unlikely to drive material improvement

Leverages metrics to identify cost out opportunities by linking up operations and financials and understands the details of the cost structure to make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be difficult to procure.

Owns the Financial and operational planning processes to produce a challenging/stretch/bold yet solid operational plan as well as all Month-end procedures including variance analysis between scenarios (actuals Plan Forecast...)

• 6 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• 6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience
• 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
