Job summary

Albatha Group is seeking a Finance Executive to support accounting operations at Albatha HO. You will record day-to-day transactions, maintain ledgers, and assist in month-end close while ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and IFRS.

The role involves coordinating with suppliers, preparing reconciliations, and supporting intercompany settlements and financial reporting for management. Strong Excel and ERP experience are preferred to streamline processes and drive accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related field.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and IFRS.
  • Familiarity with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements is an advantage.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
  • Experience using ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
  • Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
  • Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Verify supplier invoices against supporting documents and approved purchase records.
  • Process supplier invoices and prepare payment requests.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate unreconciled transactions.
  • Record bank transactions and monitor bank balances.
  • Assist with payment processing and banking documentation.
  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Coordinate with finance teams of group entities to ensure timely reconciliation of balances.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for intercompany settlements.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare reconciliations and schedules for balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules, where applicable.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial information required by management.

Job description

The Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the accounting operations of Albatha HO by ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, preparing reconciliations, and assisting in the timely preparation of financial reports. The role supports the Finance team in maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable UAE statutory requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
General Accounting
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
  • Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
  • Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Other Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting support to the Group Finance team.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on finance-related matters.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements within the finance function.
  • Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Accuracy of accounting entries and reconciliations.
  • Timely completion of month-end closing activities.
  • Timely processing of supplier payments.
  • Accuracy of bank and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Compliance with accounting policies and reporting deadlines.
  • Proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documentation.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
