Role Overview
What’s the role? This position plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day accounting and controlling of projects, as well as the associated accounts payable, capital expenditures, and accounts receivable transactions. This role requires a detail-oriented partner to assist the project controlling team in ensuring accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Deliverables
- End-to-end project accounting including recording of transactions on the ERP, estimating completion status and preparing project financials.
- Process vendor and client invoices related to offshore seismic operations, ensuring compliance with PXGEO’s financial policies.
- Support monthly financial close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations for marine operations and global offices.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables from energy clients and partners to ensure timely collections.
- Record and monitor prepayments, accruals, and financing activities tied to seismic equipment and charter contracts.
- Analyze expense reports from field teams and vessels to identify cost‑saving opportunities and ensure budget adherence.
- Organize documentation for audits, including survey cost breakdowns, crew expenses, and asset utilization.
- Enter journal entries for recurring costs such as fuel, port fees, and crew logistics.
- Assist with fixed asset tracking for seismic nodes, streamers, and onboard systems.
- Help prepare tax filings and compliance reports for PXGEO’s operating jurisdictions.
- Support internal and external audits by compiling financial data related to seismic campaigns and vessel operations.
- Monitor cash flow and flag anomalies in project‑related transactions.
- Assist in variance analysis between actual survey costs and budgeted figures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent qualification.
- 2+ years’ experience in accounting transactions and operations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
- Self‑starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working in a multi‑national company would be a plus.
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI.
- Knowledge of Dynamics365 would be a plus.
