Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE & Dubai, UAE – Finance Advisor (Dubai, UAE).
Responsibilities
- Providing a full range of finance advisory services to Siemens companies as part of a 1.5‑year assignment program with Siemens Financial Services in Dubai.
- Structuring, arranging, and implementing project‑related risk mitigation concepts and financing solutions using a broad range of instruments such as sale of receivables, forfaiting programmes, letters of credit, commercial loans, ECA–covered loans, structured financing and leasing.
- Acting as the interface to members of the international financing community and selecting and engaging potential financing partners (banks, investment funds, leasing companies, ECAs, private risk insurers).
- Analyzing project‑related risks and developing acceptable, bankable risk profiles in contexts such as performance contracting, leasing models, multi‑sourced ECA‑covered financing and PPP projects.
- Preparing financing‑relevant documentation in the bid phase (e.g., composition of financing offers, Letter of Intent from an ECA), supporting negotiations, closing financing agreements, and coordinating and monitoring financing‑related project documentation as part of project management.
- Reporting and exchanging information through standard reports and ad‑hoc queries.
- Developing and driving new opportunities and business models with embedded financing solutions in close collaboration with Siemens companies.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant work experience in a bank and/or a financial services company.
- Strong knowledge of trade‑financing solutions; expertise in project, export and/or structured finance is a plus.
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards, particularly IFRS.
- Strong willingness to grow into the role and learn about Siemens products, markets, key players, dynamics, business mechanics and sales processes.
- Business fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Very good command of MS Office tools for complex financial calculations and high‑quality presentations.
- Experience working in international, interdisciplinary teams.
