Job summary

AL Marwan General Contracting Company in the UAE seeks a Mechanical Engineer – Field Service to deliver efficient mechanical service, maintenance, and repair support for heavy equipment across workshop and field operations.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, supervise field activities, coordinate spare parts, and ensure safety and reliability across UAE projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in heavy equipment service, maintenance, field operations, or spare parts coordination.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment mechanical systems.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and axles.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical faults.
• Experience working in UAE or GCC preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and service reporting systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
• UAE Driving License preferred for field-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues in heavy equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and breakdown repairs.
• Conduct field service calls and emergency breakdown support.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and schematics.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Carry out inspections and prepare service reports and job cards.
• Supervise field service activities and technicians at sites.
• Monitor job progress, quality, productivity, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate spare parts requirements and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Liaise with stores, procurement, workshop, and field service teams regarding parts planning.
