Job summary

ACWA Power is seeking an experienced O&M professional to support outage planning and execution for a major power plant in the United Arab Emirates. You will collaborate with the Project Manager to develop robust outage strategies, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.

In execution, you will monitor progress, coordinate stakeholders and vendors, arrange spares and permits, and deliver daily/weekly performance reports. A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in O&M are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years experience in Operations and Maintenance of large Power Plants.
• Experience managing at least 1 outage of Steam/Gas Turbines.
• Strategic and commercial mindset to contribute towards the success of a new business unit.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Thorough understanding of power plant maintenance, practices, procedures and HSSE requirements.
• Coach and develop team members on key technical areas/ disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning outage management strategy including scope, resources, local manpower, spare parts, QA plan.
• Assist in end-to-end outage execution: monitor progress, manage stakeholders, ensure compliance with HSSE & quality standards.
• Arrange spare parts, consumables, tools, and permits; ensure regulatory and safety permits are issued.
• Update schedules daily based on progress and input from work units and contractors.
• Attend outage coordination meetings; escalate and resolve issues timely.
• Develop daily/weekly management reports and ensure client satisfaction.
