Job Overview

Field Engineer IV is responsible for applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks across a variety of products and services within Geozone Operations. Senior-level engineers provide direction to junior field engineers, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, support service delivery at the well site, and act as key client interfaces. The role includes planning assignments, performing engineering checks, optimizing service performance, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of field operations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance and ensure compliance with security, compliance, HSE policies, regulations, standards, and company procedures.
  • Promote quality, health, safety, security, and environmental protection as core operational values.
  • Drive continual improvement in HSE performance and responsible operational practices.
  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership and ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in daily operations and safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Report issues promptly using appropriate reporting tools.
  • Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe and presentable condition.
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to recommend services and solutions.
  • Perform work processes according to training, competence, and role requirements.
  • Conduct job planning, tool and equipment preparation, mobilization, job execution, and accurate submission of job-related documentation.
  • Complete required reports, service tickets, logs, WPTS data entry, observation cards, and supporting documentation to enable timely invoicing.
  • Remain available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer requirements.
  • Test, operate, and maintain tools and equipment in accordance with work instructions and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships to support repeat business opportunities.
  • Deliver superior service quality to clients.
  • Manage inventory and supplies required at the well site.
  • Coordinate with the Repair and Maintenance team to follow up on failures and close reports with clients.
  • Participate in or lead equipment failure investigations and support Root Cause Analysis activities.
  • Oversee, lead, and mentor field operations crew members as required by the role level.
  • Act as a technical advisor to management and interpret operational data to optimize client services.
  • Perform engineering calculations, software updates, and analyses while on client locations.
  • Manage the installation of complex equipment and services in the field.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities when overseeing personnel.
  • Manage expenses and operational costs in accordance with approved budgets and financial procedures.
  • Complete all required compliance, technical, and business training.
  • Engage regularly with management regarding performance, development, and career growth opportunities.
  • Support talent management initiatives, succession planning, coaching, recruitment, and retention efforts where applicable.
  • Demonstrate leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to company standards at all times.
  • Perform other duties and activities safely as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the role.
