Job summary

Arabian Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing in Umm Al Quwain, UAE seeks a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team on a full-time basis. The role involves operating and maintaining extrusion machinery, following SOPs, and meeting daily production targets.

Ideal candidates have prior manufacturing experience, understand quality and safety procedures, and can work shifts with a proactive, detail-oriented approach. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Experience operating production machinery is an advantage.
• Experience in extrusion or fibre optic cable manufacturing will be preferred.
• Basic understanding of production, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily and monthly production targets as per the production plan.
• Operate, set up, adjust, and monitor production machinery and equipment.
• Follow approved SOPs, work instructions, and production procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment within the plant.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and basic adjustments.
• Follow production schedules and coordinate with the Planning/Production team.
• Identify and correctly use extrusion dies, tips, tools, and accessories.
• Conduct stage-wise quality checks and ensure First-Time-Right (FTR) achievement.
• Maintain production records, log sheets, checklists, and quality documentation.
• Monitor machine and product performance and report abnormalities promptly.
• Troubleshoot basic production issues and coordinate with Maintenance/Engineering when required.
• Coordinate with Quality and Stores for product testing, inspection, and dispatch.
• Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications.
• Minimize material wastage, rejection, machine downtime, and production losses.
• Follow all company safety, statutory, and ISO requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor/Manager.
