Responsibilities include routine cleaning, deep-cleaning, laundry care, wardrobe management, and supporting events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant housekeeping experience, preferably in a private household.
• Experience handling luxury furnishings, delicate fabrics, and high-value household items.
• Knowledge of professional cleaning methods, laundry care, and household organization.

Job Purpose

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organization throughout the principal's private residence and associated household areas. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to deliver personalized housekeeping services in a luxury private household.

The successful candidate will ensure that all assigned areas are maintained to an impeccable standard while respecting the privacy, preferences, and routines of the principal and family.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Cleaning

• Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, dining areas, dressing rooms, and other assigned household spaces
• Perform daily and periodic deep-cleaning duties in accordance with household standards
• Dust, vacuum, mop, polish, and clean surfaces using appropriate products and equipment
• Ensure all rooms are prepared and presented according to the principal's preferences and daily schedule
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in guest areas and ensure rooms are prepared before and after guest visits
• Handle delicate surfaces, luxury finishes, antiques, artwork, and high-value furnishings with appropriate care

Laundry & Wardrobe Care

• Manage household laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, steaming, folding, and organizing garments and linens
• Handle delicate, luxury, and specialty fabrics in accordance with care instructions
• Maintain the organization and presentation of wardrobes, dressing rooms, and linen cupboards
• Monitor household linen and clothing supplies and report any shortages or items requiring replacement or repair

Household Organization & Maintenance

• Ensure household items, amenities, and supplies are properly organized and replenished
• Monitor cleaning products, toiletries, linens, and other household consumables
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or repairs required to the House Manager or designated supervisor
• Assist with the preparation of the residence for special occasions, events, and visiting guests
• Support the wider household team with general household duties as required

Guest & Principal Service

• Prepare guest rooms and assigned areas to the highest standards before and during visits
• Respond promptly and professionally to requests from the principal, family members, guests, or household management
• Maintain a service-oriented approach while respecting personal space and privacy
• Assist with light serving duties, table setting, and clearing when required

Professional Standards & Discretion

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the principal, family, household, and personal affairs
• Respect household security procedures, access protocols, and privacy requirements
• Demonstrate professional conduct, reliability, punctuality, and a polished appearance at all times
• Work collaboratively with other household staff to ensure seamless daily operations

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a UHNW private household, luxury residence, palace, hotel, or high-end hospitality environment
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant housekeeping experience, preferably in a private household
• Experience handling luxury furnishings, delicate fabrics, and high-value household items
• Knowledge of professional cleaning methods, laundry care, and household organization
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistent standards
• Previous experience working with a household team is an advantage
