Job summary

Higher Colleges of Technology is seeking a full-time faculty member to deliver general and program-specific courses to second-language learners in a student-focused environment. The role emphasizes practical teaching, technology-enhanced instruction, and ongoing assessment to support student success.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or an equivalent Master’s with industry experience and relevant certifications, plus a minimum of three years of teaching.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required where applicable.
• Or Master's Degree with 5 years of teaching and industry experience and a relevant professional certification.
• Or Bachelor's Degree may be considered for candidates with extensive industry experience and certification.
• Additional academic professional qualifications as required by the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach general Faculty subjects and at least two specific areas in the program.
• Develop and utilize educational technology resources for effective instruction.
• Provide continuous feedback on student progress using varied assessment tools.
• Act as student advisor and mentor, supporting internships and work placements.
• Lead and participate in research aligned with division priorities and national agendas.
• Contribute to curricula revision, course management and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and supplies and participate in system-wide activities.

Education

Ph.D. in a relevant discipline

Master's Degree and professional certification relevant to the discipline with 5 years of teaching and industry experience

Bachelor's Degree with extensive industry experience and relevant certification

Appropriate academic professional qualifications as required
