Purpose of the Job

We are looking for motivated customer-focused people who want to join our team as a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician. The focus of the Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard, and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Shift Pattern: Day Shift

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Promote safe working practices in all work carried out, ensuring compliance with Amazon safety standards and regulations.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected stakeholders, and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Promote continuous improvement culture by analyzing breakdowns and proposing changes and suggestions for better performance to the line manager.
  • Ensure high levels of equipment availability/reliability for the operations team.
  • Manage contractors and ensure adherence to Amazon standards within the site premises.
  • Monitor daily site utilities and sustainability performance and provide cause of change for any undesired results.
  • Observe housekeeping and cleaning practices and ensure the highest level of janitorial services.
  • Daily respond to maintenance work orders and provide relevant response to RME customers, arranging needed resources to perform the task.
  • Perform spare parts regular survey to detect any gap and inform line manager and RME planner with the needed spares.
  • Provide on-job training to RME technicians and develop their skills matrix to ensure they have the right level of competency to perform the tasks.
A Day in the Life
  • Daily monitor and respond to RME customer requests through the trouble ticketing system, always showing customer obsession behavior.
  • Plan and observe the annual maintenance contracts vendor activities within the shift and prepare for upcoming shifts.
Qualifications
  • Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical.
  • Experience in dealing with reputable CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
  • Experience with planned preventive maintenance systems.
  • Basic knowledge about automation and PLC systems.
  • Experience fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment) / automation systems.
  • Experience leading a team of technicians.
  • Experience interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with conveyor maintenance motor controllers/inverters.
  • Experience with Auto-CAD drawing.
  • Experience with sortation machines.
  • Experience troubleshooting through PLC.
  • Experience in managing contractor compliance with Amazon standards.
  • Experience monitoring site utilities and sustainability performance.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and policies applicable to warehouse environments.
