Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior External Auditor with expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). As a Senior External Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, promoting compliance with regulatory standards, and providing valuable insights to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a full range of audit and assurance tasks including the planning, testing, reviewing and reporting stages on large and complex client engagements.
  • Visit client sites and talk to different levels of management to understand the business and their needs.
  • Plan, carry out and in some cases design audit procedures and tests.
  • Attending meetings and interviewing staff to gather audit evidence.
  • Examine accounts, financial records, and other documentation.
  • Observe stock takes and/or other business procedures.
  • Use analytics to assess financial reporting, fraud or operational business risks.
  • Prepare a final audit report, including making recommendations for improvements to systems or processes.
  • Discuss the conclusion and recommendations from the audit with clients.Perform special audits or reviews as requested by operating companies or recommended by the Audit Manager. These audits aim to deeply examine critical business segments, identify weaknesses and problem areas, and propose effective control measures.
  • Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Auditor – around 2-3 years’ relevant experience is required, with a preference for candidates with previous experience at a Big 4 audit firm.
  • BSc/BA in Accounting or Finance; master’s degree and professional certification (e.g. CA, ACCA) are considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and relevant regulations
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
  • Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills are essential, and familiarity with Data Analytics tools is advantageous.
