The role focuses on comprehensive eye care, vision testing, diagnosis, treatment and patient education, with a monthly salary of 1,700 AED. Flexibility in hours is required and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in optometry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic lenses and frames.
• Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
• Good knowledge of computers and software programs related to optometry.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye care services including vision testing and diagnosis.
• Advise patients on eyeglasses and contact lenses meeting their needs.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Take detailed patient histories including medications and family history.
• Examine eyes for visual acuity and signs of disease or injury.
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contacts after determining best course.
• Monitor patient progress and document changes in vision.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary.
• Educate patients on proper care for contacts or glasses.
