Job summary

Standard Chartered Dubai invites a Senior Investment Advisor to deliver tailored investment guidance aligned with client objectives, supporting product launches for GSAC/MENA to grow assets under management and revenue.

Collaborate with the IA Head of DIFC and Relationship Managers to assess risk, define client preferences, and present suitable strategies while ensuring adherence to risk controls and regulatory standards across the franchise.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate/masters in finance or CFA designation.
• Relevant CFA or equivalent professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of regional plan with strong control environment.
• Provide independent opinion on client portfolios aligned with House Views.
• Determine client risk appetite and return expectations with RM partnership.
• Drive engagement to promote Strategy Views and suitable products.
• Organise/involve in investment seminars for clients and prospects.
• Provide high‑quality investment advice to clients and RMs.
• Ensure adherence to risk management framework and policies.
• Contribute to end‑to‑end delivery of business strategy.
• Support sales management and apply suitability processes.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management to deliver best product solutions.

Job Summary

Providing relevant solutions given client needs/objectives while working closely with the IA Head of DIFC, sharing ideas and supporting product and service launch aimed at GSAC / MENA Segment to drive investment penetration and growth in AuM and Revenue with key focus on clients directly advised by the investment advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of superior performance against strategic regional plan, upholding highest control environment standards, maintaining a zero tolerance policy towards regulatory risks.
• Provide independent opinion on client’s existing portfolio whilst ensuring consistency with House Views.
• Determine client’s risk appetite, investment preference and return expectations by partnering with Relationship Managers.
• Contribute and drive investment engagement to promote Strategy Views and suitable products.
• Organise / Participate in investment seminars for clients and prospects.
• Provide high quality investment advice to clients directly and to Relationship Managers, and inform them about suitable investments in the context of their portfolios.
• Ensure adherence to the framework for effective management of operational risks across the Business and in compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations at a global level.
• Contribute to the delivery of Business strategy in a safe and well controlled manner and on an end to end basis.
• Contribute to the sales management and ensure suitability processes are applied appropriately.
• Collaborate effectively with the Wealth management team to deliver best product solutions to PvB clients.
