Job summary

Grand Mercure Business Bay, part of Accor, seeks an experienced Audio Visual Technician to support events across the property. You will set up and operate AV systems, manage live audio and video, and coordinate with banquet, events, IT, and engineering teams to ensure flawless execution for conferences, weddings, and corporate functions.

The role requires strong AV knowledge, English proficiency, and flexibility to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 event-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in AV/related technical discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of professional AV experience in luxury hotel or high-end events.
• Strong knowledge of professional AV systems and on-site troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and dismantle professional AV equipment for meetings, weddings, and events.
• Operate sound, lighting, projection, and LED displays for live events.
• Manage live audio mixing, video switching, and lighting during events.
• Configure and support Zoom, Teams, and other video conferencing platforms.
• Perform pre-event checks and ensure all equipment is functional.
• Provide on-site technical support for VIPs and high-profile events.
• Coordinate with Events, Banquets, IT, and Engineering teams to meet event requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inventory of AV equipment.
