Job summary

Abu Alnaga Contracting in Dubai is seeking an Estimator & Planning Engineer with 3–7 years of experience to manage project estimation, quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and planning duties. The role requires effective scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination across teams.

The successful candidate will develop baseline and look-ahead programmes, analyze progress, and assist with forecasts and recovery plans. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant estimation and planning experience.
• Experience in high-rise building construction preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ, cost estimation, and planning.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and rate analysis.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline, detailed, weekly, monthly, and look-ahead programmes.
• Monitor actual progress against planned targets and identify schedule deviations.
• Prepare progress reports, S-curves, and performance updates.
• Coordinate with construction, procurement, engineering, subcontractors, and project management teams.
• Assist in preparing variation estimates, recovery programmes, and project forecasts.
• Ensure activities are properly sequenced and aligned with project milestones.
