Job Title: Estimation Engineer

Location: UAE

Job Purpose

To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fabrication, fuel systems, tanks, skids, and related engineering projects by analyzing technical documents, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting the full tendering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, tenders, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical documents to clearly understand project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering fabrication works, equipment, skids, Mobile Fuel Units (MFUs), tanks, electrical, instrumentation, and installation activities.
• Develop item-wise BOQs, MTOs, and cost breakdowns for materials, labor, logistics, subcontracting, and overheads.
• Float RFQs to vendors and subcontractors, evaluate quotations, and prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets.
• Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and project teams to validate quantities, constructability, and execution methodology.
• Perform manhour estimations for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining technical compliance and quality standards.
• Support preparation of technical clarifications, deviations, and tender queries during the bidding stage.
• Assist management in bid strategy development based on project risk, complexity, and commercial competitiveness.
• Maintain estimation databases, historical cost records, and vendor price benchmarks for future reference.
• Prepare budgetary estimates for concept-stage proposals and business development opportunities.
• Support technical and commercial negotiations with vendors and subcontractors.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and internal bid review meetings when required.
• Ensure all estimates consider applicable industry standards such as API, ASME, UL, ADR, NFPA, and project-specific requirements.
• Prepare post-award cost tracking and assist project teams with cost control when assigned.
