Job summary

Upward Trend is seeking an Equity L/S Analyst covering Emerging Markets in CEEMEA, focusing on Telco and Consumer sectors, based in Dubai.

The role requires deep CEEMEA knowledge, strong modelling skills, and the ability to generate actionable ideas for the portfolio, with flexibility on notice period (3–6 months).

Qualifications

• Experience covering Telco and/or Consumer in CEEMEA.
• Knowledge of CEEMEA region; Turkish exposure advantageous.
• Strong modelling skills on equities.
• Background from L/S, long-only, PE or sellside considered.
• 3–6 months notice period acceptable to join.

Responsibilities

• Cover CEEMEA equities with focus on Telco/Consumer.
• Regularly generate and present stock ideas for the portfolio.
• Collaborate with PM on the portfolio launch of the EM CEEMEA book.
• Leverage Turkish exposure when available.

Equity L/S Analyst - Emerging Markets - CEEMEA - Telco & Consumer

Dubai

Our client, a Tier 1 multimanager platform, is looking to add an Equity Analyst with experience covering Telco and/or Consumer companies in the CEEMEA region. Having experience covering Turkish companies would be highly advantageous for this role. This is for a newly hired experienced Emerging Markets PM who is looking for someone to work closely with him on the launch of his portfolio.

We seek someone with excellent modelling skills and deep sector/region knowledge. That said, the PM is open to Analysts coming from L/S, Long-only, PE or the Sellside.

Prior experience of covering some area of the CEEMEA is a non-negotiable. The PM will want to be able to confidently lean on your knowledge of the region and will be expecting you to regularly deliver strong ideas for the book.

The PM would ideally like someone with a 3 month notice but is willing to wait 6 months for the perfect candidate.
