Job summary

ADNOC Schools Ruwais Campus in Abu Dhabi invites applications for high-performing English Social Studies Teachers with immediate start. The role is based in the Western Region and adheres to the Massachusetts Curriculum, delivering the US High School Diploma pathway.

Successful candidates will be fully qualified with PGCE or equivalent and at least 2 years of related teaching experience, with a strong commitment to enrichment and EAL support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Social Studies or History with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Commitment to extensive enrichment programs.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
• Respect for all members of the school community.
• Experience with English as an additional language students.
• Positive, solution-focused attitude to working life.
• Clean enhanced DBS/Police check.

Responsibilities

• Create a climate for learning conducive to outstanding practice.
• Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and set challenging tasks.
• Differentiate to meet SEN or high-ability students' needs.
• Maintain pace, motivation, and challenge with clear lesson structures.
• Assess learning objectives and use data to inform planning.
• Mark work at least every two weeks and set progress targets.
• Use performance data to ensure learning adds value.
• Keep records of student progress and inform planning.
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents.
• Contribute to curriculum development and schemes of work.
