Cohere is a leading security-first enterprise AI company seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Forward Deployed Engineers in deploying Cohere's North platform into customer environments.

This role requires hands-on leadership, driving deployments from private cloud to on-prem, and mentoring a team to deliver impact. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and Sales to scale solutions for enterprises.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Hands-on experience deploying enterprise software at scale.
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Were looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Deployment Engineering team. This isnt a typical management role — we need someone who leads from the front, gets their hands dirty, and drives impact. Youll manage a team of Forward Deployed Engineers who are on the front lines of deploying Coheres North platform into customer environments. You should be ready to be a force to be reckoned with.

Location: North America (remote-first)

What Youll Do

Cohere is committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The salary range listed for this role reflects the expected base compensation. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

• United States:

  • For candidates based in California, New York and Washington States, the compensation range is: $140,000 - $325,000 USD

  • For candidates based elsewhere in the US, the compensation range is: $120,000 – $275,000 USD

• Canada:

  • For candidates in Canada, the Compensation Range is : $175,000 - $385,000 CAD
