Job summary

Client of Salt is seeking a hands-on Engineering Lead to architect and deliver complex enterprise platforms, automation and workflow-driven products in Abu Dhabi. You will lead a small engineering team while remaining hands-on across architecture, design, coding and production delivery.

Responsibilities include owning architecture, APIs, data models, workflows, ERP/SAP integrations, and establishing standards for security, testing, CI/CD and observability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in Staff/Principal/Lead role or equivalent.
• Strong backend and distributed-systems experience.
• Experience with APIs, databases, microservices and enterprise integration.
• Experience with workflow-heavy or transaction-heavy platforms.
• Cloud, Kubernetes, containers and CI/CD experience.
• Security, reliability and observability mindset.
• Hands-on production engineering experience.
• Advantage: Workflow/BPM or state-machine experience.
• Event-driven architecture.
• ERP/SAP integrations.
• Azure experience.
• LLM/GenAI in production.
