Job description
Position Title: Engineer System Integration (UAEN Only)
Position Overview:

We seeking a hands-on Ground System Integration Engineer to support the integration of unmanned aerial systems with specialty on the ground side. This role focuses on setting up and maintaining infrastructure required for UAV system operation — including network switches, routers, PCs, radios, and both Ethernet and serial communication interfaces.

The engineer will also be responsible for setting up prototyping environments, assembling and configuring ground control stations. The ideal candidate is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across hardware, networking, and IT support disciplines in a dynamic R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and configure ground-side communication infrastructure including, LAN devices, Data links (RF), PCs both serial/Ethernet interfaces.
  • Assemble and integrate ground control stations (GCS) and support test environments.
  • Configure network settings such as IP configurations, VLANs, multicast routing, and firewall/NAT rules.
  • Ensure connectivity and proper communication between UAV systems and ground control software.
  • Perform hands‑on troubleshooting of network, communication, and PC interface issues during testing and deployment.
  • Manage software installations and support for Windows and Linux-based prototype environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for hardware setup, network architecture, and configurations.
  • Deal with general IT support for the team, including peripheral setup, connectivity, and system access issues, LAN management and software installation.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience in system integration, IT/network support, or related roles.
  • Solid understanding of Ethernet networking, IP configuration, routing, and serial communication.
  • Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and network issues.
  • Experience with configuration and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, ping, iperf, serial terminal software, etc.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in UAVs, robotics, or embedded control systems.
  • Exposure to video streaming protocols and multicast networking.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation for setup and configuration tasks.
  • Basic understanding of RF systems or ground communication radios.
  • Familiarity with industrial routers/switches.
