Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in the UAE preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain approvals for materials submittals across all activities.
  2. Prepare asphalt mix designs for various types such as base, binder, and wearing course, obtaining approvals from consultants/engineers and ensuring production at the asphalt plant.
  3. Develop and conduct plant trials for concrete mix designs to ensure quality.
  4. Interact with consultants and clients regarding site activities, workmanship, and quality standards.
  5. Control non-conforming products on site and inspect all incoming materials.
  6. Maintain quality management documents, records, plans, inspection and test records, and checklists.
  7. Develop, modify, test, and evaluate materials.
  8. Provide technical advice on material suitability and diagnose faults.
  9. Plan and organize inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  10. Oversee operational quality control processes.
  11. Liaise with suppliers, customers, and development staff.
  12. Supervise technical staff.
  13. Conduct fracture analysis and prepare technical reports.
  14. Maintain cycle time objectives within areas of responsibility.
  15. Address concerns related to materials and processes from suppliers and clients.
  16. Provide material information and data to engineering teams.
  17. Update material logs regularly.
  18. Conduct testing at external sources and interpret results.
  19. Write reports and communicate findings with client engineers.
  20. Analyze product failure data and laboratory test results to identify causes and develop solutions.
  21. Supervise testing of raw materials and finished products for quality assurance.
  22. Design and oversee testing and control procedures for processing.
  23. Determine construction methods for projects.
  24. Monitor material performance and evaluate deterioration.
  25. Plan and implement laboratory operations to develop testing procedures meeting project standards.
  26. Review material submittals and recommend suitable materials based on specifications such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical conductivity, and cost.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Abu Dhabi Standards and Regulations.
  • Understanding of roads, structures, and civil infrastructure works.
  • Minimum 10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE preferred.
