We are seeking a talented and innovative Engineer - Civil to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge highway projects in one of the world's most rapidly evolving urban landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review highway design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various projects
• Utilize advanced engineering software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to create detailed designs and 3D models
• Conduct feasibility studies and traffic impact assessments for proposed highway projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery
• Perform complex engineering calculations and analyses related to highway geometry, drainage, and pavement design
• Ensure compliance with local and international highway design standards and regulations
• Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation
• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable transportation infrastructure
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and tender documents for new projects
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in highway engineering and implement best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on highway engineering
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in highway design and engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software
• Strong knowledge of highway engineering principles, including geometric design, pavement design, and drainage systems
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and processes
• Experience with traffic modeling and analysis software
• In-depth understanding of local UAE highway design standards and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of independent work
• Innovative mindset with a passion for developing sustainable transportation solutions
• Willingness to work towards professional chartership (e.g., UAE Society of Engineers)
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
• Eligibility: As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
