We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Energy Advisor to provide expert guidance to clients on improving energy efficiency, reducing utility costs, and meeting sustainability goals. The Energy Advisor will conduct energy audits, analyze consumption data, and recommend cost-effective energy-saving measures. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, renewable energy technologies, and current energy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site assessments and energy audits for residential, commercial, or industrial clients.

Analyze utility bills and energy usage patterns to identify inefficiencies.

Recommend and prioritize energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy options.

Provide technical support for energy conservation projects, including lighting, HVAC, insulation, and controls.

Prepare detailed reports with findings, savings estimates, and payback analysis.

Educate clients on available incentives, rebates, and financing programs.

Stay updated on federal, state, and local energy policies, codes, and emerging technologies.

Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and utility providers to implement energy‑saving solutions.

Track performance of implemented projects and ensure ongoing energy savings.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in energy consulting, energy auditing, or a similar role.

Certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager), LEED, or BPI preferred.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Proficient in MS Excel and energy analysis software (e.g., RETScreen, eQUEST, EnergyPlus).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to explain complex energy concepts in a simple, customer‑friendly way.

Project management and customer service experience a plus.

Field visits to client sites may be required.

Occasional evening or weekend work based on client needs.
