Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a UAE National (Emirati) to serve as the Government Relations & Local Affairs liaison, acting as the official point of contact with MOHRE, GDRFA, and other authorities. The role focuses on maintaining regulatory compliance and facilitating government transactions for the group in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in Government Relations or Local Affairs, familiarity with national portals, and strong communication skills. UAE National status is mandatory.

Qualifications

• UAE National (Emirati) with a valid Family Book – Mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Government Relations, PRO or Local Affairs is preferred.
• Fresh UAE National candidates with the right aptitude and strong communication skills may also be considered.
• Familiarity with UAE government portals such as MOHRE, ICP/GDRFA, DED/Economic Department and related platforms.
• Valid UAE driving licence is required/preferred.
• Strong understanding of UAE government processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact with MOHRE, GDRFA/Immigration, Economic Departments, Chambers of Commerce, municipalities and other government authorities.
• Manage and expedite trade licences, establishment cards, labour approvals, quotas and company registrations.
• Facilitate visa processing, renewals, cancellations, Emirates ID and medical typing for employees.
• Represent the company at government offices and local affairs meetings where a UAE National representative is required.
• Advise management on changes to government regulations, fees, portals and compliance requirements.
• Support Emiratisation targets, Nafis registration and related national workforce initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts across government and semi-government entities.
• Maintain an accurate tracker of licences, permits, approvals and official documents, ensuring timely renewals.
• Coordinate with internal HR & Admin teams to ensure smooth completion of government-related processes.
• Ensure all government transactions and documentation are completed accurately and within required timelines.
