As an Emirates Store Supervisor you will support the Merchandise Support Controllers and Manager Merchandise by providing operational supervision at all Emirates Official Store retail outlets (various locations: Emirates Official Stores; EGHQ, EGIT, dnata Travel Centre, DXB Airport and The Dubai Mall). Lead a team of sales experts to achieve revenue and profit targets whilst ensuring the reputation of the Emirates brand is sustained at all times.
In this role you will:
- Supervise operations at all Emirates Official Stores within the UAE, ensuring financial targets are met and CCMB branding standards are maintained in line with the department’s visual style guide (VSG).
- Ensure inventory management is monitored in each outlet, ensuring detailed standards and procedures documentation is available throughout the business. Organise annual stock‑takes and any flash stock takes that may be required during the financial year.
- Arrange product deliveries to the Official Stores, liaising with EK Stores and the relevant business partners if necessary.
- Create (with the Specialist) and maintain a rolling market calendar for your business unit, ensuring all other business units within the merchandise department are in sync.
- Produce pre‑agreed weekly or monthly reports (depending on the business) to be provided to the Manager Merchandise for further discussion.
- Arrange monthly visits, ensuring that official stores handled are visited at least once a month and regular store‑walks are conducted.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of official store sales experts, ensuring financial targets are met and CCMB standards are maintained to a high standard. Create a monthly roster for the sales team based on the needs of the business.
Official Store responsibilities
- Take responsibility for visual merchandising at the three Emirates Official Stores, making changes once a week at HQ (once a month at the other stores). Decisions will be based on new product intake, promotional activity and general sales performance observations.
- Have full knowledge of the Retail Point of Sale system. Liaise with the Promotions Support Controller to ensure it remains compliant with audit requirements at all times, and oversee any future enhancements or required integrations on this product.
- Supervise the setting up and day‑to‑day operations of any remote Official Stores, including Dubai Air Show (every two years starting in 2023), possibly Arabian Travel Market (2023 onwards) and any other similar opportunities.
Dubai Duty Free responsibilities
- Present new product ideas to the Purchasing team at DDF on a monthly basis, ensuring profit margins for each item are in line with budget expectations.
- Fulfil DDF orders in line with their procedures, liaising with EK Stores and arranging third‑party transportation requirements.
- Create invoices for Dubai Duty Free and ensure payment is made in a timely manner.
- Take responsibility for the fulfilment of any other wholesale account that wants to purchase product from Emirates Official Store.
The Dubai Mall responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact with our Guest Booking system run by Digitickets, UK. Monitor daily bookings and ensure action is taken should slots need to be cancelled or re‑arranged.
- Monitor the Flight simulator customer service mailbox and respond to all customer enquiries.
- Liaise with the Promotions Support Specialist to set up a dashboard and use Google Analytics to make recommendations on marketing plans based on customer data.
- Create invoices for Emaar Entertainment and ensure payment is made in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Working experience in a sales environment is essential.
- Leadership of a team is a strong advantage, as is experience with marketing calendars and visual merchandising.
Knowledge / Ability / Skills
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken English. Other languages are an advantage.
- Good knowledge of the airline industry, sports events and Arab cultures is a strong advantage.
- Ability to handle several diverse projects concurrently and independently. Friendly demeanour and good inter‑personal skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
