Job summary

The Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital (SSBZH) in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join its fast-paced Emergency Department. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, including rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management of a broad range of acute conditions.

Requirements include a Medical Degree with Emergency Medicine specialization and board certification (Arab/Syrian/European/UK/American) preferred, plus DOH license eligibility and 3–5 years of ED

Qualifications

• Medical degree with specialization in Emergency Medicine required.
• Board certification or equivalent (Arab/Syrian/European/UK/American) preferred.
• DOH License or Eligibility for Specialist Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum 3–5 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Proven ability to manage high patient volumes in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients with acute and critical conditions.
• Triage, assess and stabilize patients per international standards and hospital protocols.
• Manage high patient volumes while maintaining care quality and safety.
• Perform emergency procedures and interventions as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and proper disposition.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation compliant with regulatory requirements and support junior staff.
