- Prepare schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, block diagrams, riser diagrams, wiring diagrams and complete system connectivity drawings.
- Prepare rack layouts and rack elevations, equipment layouts and elevations, equipment-room layouts, wall elevations, reflected ceiling coordination drawings, and control-panel / LCP layouts and elevations.
- Prepare containment and cable-routing drawings, cable schedules, termination details, builders’ work drawings, provision drawings, mounting details and typical installation details.
- Clearly indicate drawing numbers, revisions, dimensions, scales, device tags, mounting heights, cable references, legends, symbols, system notes and equipment references, as applicable.
- Prepare all other drawing or drafting documentation required for tender, approval, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance or final handover.
b. Tender, BOQ and Quantity Take-Off
- Review tender drawings, architectural and MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, schedules and related documents.
- Perform complete and accurate quantity take-offs for ELV, automation, AV, ICT and associated systems from tender and project drawings.
- Count and identify devices and equipment, including speakers, cameras, access-control points, data outlets, Wi‑Fi access points, keypads, touch panels, sensors, control modules, racks and all related accessories.
- Assist the Estimation and Design teams in preparing and checking BOQs, equipment schedules and marked‑up tender drawings.
- Compare drawings, specifications and BOQs; identify discrepancies, omissions, conflicting requirements and missing quantities; and report them before submission or pricing.
c. Design and Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Translate design concepts and engineering information into complete, clear and professional technical drawings.
- Coordinate ELV drawings with architectural, interior design, reflected ceiling, electrical, mechanical, structural, landscape, joinery and other relevant drawings.
- Coordinate continuously with the Design, Estimation, Engineering, Projects and Procurement teams to ensure that drawings match the approved system design and selected equipment.
- Identify clashes, missing information, space restrictions, accessibility concerns and coordination issues, and raise them promptly with the responsible engineer before drawings are issued.
- Revise drawings in accordance with client, consultant, authority and engineer comments and maintain traceable responses until approval is obtained.
d. Site Coordination and As‑Built Documentation
- Coordinate with project engineers, site engineers, supervisors and installation teams so that drawings are practical and suitable for execution.
- Attend site surveys, inspections and coordination meetings when required; take measurements; and verify dimensions, equipment locations, mounting heights, containment routes and actual site conditions.
- Update drawings based on approved site modifications, actual installation conditions, red‑line mark‑ups and instructions from the responsible engineer.
- Support the site team with drawing‑related technical information and issue timely revisions required for installation and second‑fix works.
- Maintain red‑line records throughout execution and prepare final as‑built drawings that accurately reflect the completed installation.
e. CAD Standards, Submissions and Document Control
- Apply the Company’s CAD standards, title blocks, layers, line weights, blocks, symbols, legends, naming conventions, scales and file structures consistently.
- Develop and maintain standard CAD blocks, system symbols, legends, typical details and drawing templates for the Company’s different systems.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, submission records and organized DWG, PDF and supporting files for every project.
- Ensure that only the latest approved drawings are issued to the project and site teams and that superseded drawings are clearly identified and archived.
- Prepare final drawing packages for project handover and O&M documentation and support document submissions as required.
- Use Revit, Navisworks or other coordination software when required by the project and within your competence or following Company training.
f. Quality, Accuracy and Accountability
- Check every drawing and quantity take-off for accuracy, completeness, coordination and compliance before internal review or external submission.
- Confirm that all work is based on the latest approved architectural, MEP, interior design, equipment and engineering information.
- Meet agreed drawing schedules and promptly notify the responsible manager of missing information or risks that may delay submissions or site works.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect all Company, client and project information, drawings, designs, pricing data, files and intellectual property.
- Carry out other drafting, design-support, estimation-support, technical-documentation and project‑coordination duties reasonably related to your position and experience.
