Job summary

Convergint MEA is seeking an ELV Draftsman in Dubai to prepare shop drawings for ELV, security and IT projects, including containment, cable routing and fixing details. You will draft CCTV, access control, structured cabling, fire alarm and PA layouts from sketches and specifications.

The role involves preparing as-built drawings, tracking revisions, supporting Pre-Sales with quantity take-offs, and joining site surveys to resolve technical issues while supervising the AutoCAD Operator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering required.
• AutoCAD, Adobe or 3ds Max certification required.
• 3 to 5 years of drafting experience in ELV systems (CCTV, access control, structured cabling, fire alarm, PA).
• Strong AutoCAD skills: layers, Xref, CTB, Sheet Set, scaling, 2D and 3D.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ELV shop drawings: general arrangements, single line diagrams, layouts, sections and fixing details.
• Draft CCTV, access control, structured cabling, fire alarm and PA system layouts.
• Work from sketches and specifications provided by design and project engineers.
• Prepare as-built drawings and track drawing revisions.
• Support Pre-Sales with quantity take-offs from tender drawings.
• Join site surveys and help the project team resolve technical issues.
• Keep drawing files confidential and supervise the AutoCAD Operator.
