Job summary

Al Ittihad National Private School – Shakhbout is seeking a UAE National Social Counselor to join its Elementary Section. The role centers on promoting students’ social and emotional development, supporting overall student well‑being, and fostering a constructive learning environment.

The counselor will collaborate with school leadership, educators, and parents to deliver guidance services while ensuring all student support initiatives align strictly with ADEK and local regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology or Psychology is required
• Valid DCD license mandatory
• UAE Nationality is required
• Bilingual in Arabic and English is required

Responsibilities

• Deliver social and emotional guidance to elementary school students to promote their developmental well‑being.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to implement student support plans.
• Help cultivate a positive, inclusive, and safe school climate across the elementary division.
• Maintain counseling records and operational practices in compliance with ADEK frameworks.
• Facilitate proactive communication between families and the school regarding student needs.
