Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Technical Coordinator - Electrical to support planning, coordination and execution of electrical engineering activities across power generation, transmission, distribution and industrial projects. You will interface with engineering, project management, procurement, construction and clients to ensure timely delivery and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering or project coordination within the power, energy, utility or EPC sector.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, and electrical distribution networks.
• Experience in power generation, transmission, distribution, renewable energy, or industrial power projects.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NFPA and local regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in electrical design and engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, EPLAN, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of testing, commissioning, and maintenance practices for electrical systems.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical engineering activities across power projects from design through commissioning.
• Review and monitor electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load calculations, and technical specifications.
• Liaise with engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Track project schedules and support timely resolution of technical issues affecting project execution.
• Coordinate procurement activities for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgears, cables, protection systems, and related components.
• Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Review technical submittals, method statements, inspection reports, and vendor documentation.
• Support project teams in preparing progress reports, risk assessments, and project updates.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure quality requirements are achieved during project execution.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical system issues during construction and operational phases.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure accurate record keeping throughout the project lifecycle.
