Job summary

Stantec in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector for our water pumping station projects. You will interact with clients and contractors, prepare inspection reports, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires 8–10 years in construction supervision, a Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation, and a UAE driving license. You’ll work with engineers to solve design problems and coordinate with remote teams to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Diploma Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• 8-10 years experience in construction supervision of water pumping station projects.
• Experience in installation, testing of electrical panels, cabling, earthing, lighting etc or supervision experience of similar works.
• Experience in installation, testing of plant instrumentation or supervision experience of similar works.
• Experience in installation, testing of PLC panels and SCADA system or supervision experience of similar works.
• Experience in designing, installation, testing of communication network and SCADA integration or supervision experience of similar works.
• Needs to have a valid UAE Driver's license.
• Proficiency in MS Office to generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Technical Delivery and client coordination.
• Prepare inspection reports and site records.
• Provide general inspection on construction labour and subcontracted works to ensure workmanship.
• Identify non-conforming works, generate reports and corrective actions, coordinate responses.
• Collaborate with engineers to solve project design problems and perform basic calculations.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and site investigations.
• Liaise with teams working remotely to facilitate completion of tasks and project.
• Ensure safety practices and adherence to project quality procedures.
