Job summary

Duncan & Ross Consulting in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design activities for large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects. You will develop deliverables, review drawings, and coordinate interfaces across disciplines to ensure compliant, quality outcomes through FEED and Detailed Design phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/infrastructure projects.
• Experience in FEED and Detailed Design (DD) project execution preferred.
• Knowledge of power generation, transmission, distribution and industrial power systems.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA and other standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering and design activities for industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review design deliverables including SLDs, schematics, and cable schedules.
• Ensure designs comply with project specs and international standards.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Instrumentation, Telecom, and HSE.
• Review vendor drawings, datasheets, and provide technical comments.
• Support electrical system studies: load flow, short circuit, protection coordination.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, constructability reviews, and VE workshops.
• Assist procurement through technical bid evaluations and clarifications.
• Provide engineering support during installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up.
• Prepare calculations and reports; ensure deliverables meet schedule and budget.
