Job summary

Ghobash Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer for on-site support in Abu Dhabi. You will assist in drawings, BOMs, documentation, and field acceptance testing while coordinating with contractors and senior engineers to ensure timely project delivery.

The role requires 1–3 years of electrical engineering experience, familiarity with AutoCAD/ETAP, and adherence to ADNOC safety standards. On-site presence is required across ADNOC project locations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in oil and gas or construction settings.
• Exposure to ADNOC or similar projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with electrical design software and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Support the creation of BOMs and ensure material accuracy per project requirements.
• Update and maintain records of electrical designs and modifications in project documentation.
• Assist senior engineers in supervising electrical installation and commissioning activities.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with project specs and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues under guidance of senior engineers.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Attend site meetings and provide task updates to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Adhere to ADNOC safety and quality standards and report hazards or compliance issues.
• Participate in safety briefings and on-the-job training to enhance skills.

Job description

• Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on task progress to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Ensure all work adheres to ADNOC safety and quality standards.
• Report any safety hazards or compliance issues immediately to senior project staff.
• Participate in regular safety briefings and adhere to HSE (Health Safety and Environment) policies.
• Engage in on-the-job training to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
• Stay updated on ADNOC standards electrical codes and best practices for oil and gas projects.
• Take part in professional development sessions as provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3years of experience in electrical engineering preferably in oil and gas or construction environments. Exposure to ADNOC or similar projects is an advantage.
• Basic proficiency in electrical design software (e.g. AutoCAD ETAP).
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations (IEC IEEE) relevant to oil and gas.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards is preferred.
