Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in the UAE is looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman to prepare electrical shop drawings and coordinate with engineers. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in GCC building projects and expertise in AutoCAD. Strong understanding of electrical systems, local regulations, and good communication skills are essential. This role requires immediate availability and residency in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Electrical Draftsman.
• Experience on building/infrastructure projects in the GCC, especially UAE.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and drafting standards.
• Familiar with local authority regulations and submission requirements.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE and available to join immediately.

• Prepare accurate electrical shop drawings and asbuilt drawings using AutoCAD.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical shop drawings layouts and asbuilt drawings using AutoCAD.
• Draft power lighting low current and other electrical systems in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and other MEP disciplines to ensure cohesive and clashfree designs.
• Review and revise drawings based on design changes and site conditions.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to local authority standards (DEWA ADDC SEWA etc. and project specifications.
• Maintain organized drawing files and ensure timely submission of required documentation.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Electrical Draftsman.
• Experience working on building/infrastructure projects in the GCC especially the UAE.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and submission requirements.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE and available to join immediately.
