Job Title: Manager - Logistics

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership and support to projects and business development during the bid stage, focusing on cost reduction through effective resource planning and deployment to ensure timely project execution while minimizing risks and protecting company interests.
2. Coordinate with management and staff to facilitate projects and business initiatives from the bid stage onwards, monitoring costs, resource deployment, productivity, and manpower to ensure project schedules are met.
3. Interface with buyers and vendors to manage orders, delivery schedules, and transportation logistics, ensuring timely receipt at project sites.
4. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs, ports, and handling agencies to expedite shipments and clearances, and liaise with insurance agencies regarding transit accidents.
5. Handle import/export documentation, manage supply and distribution operations, and oversee freight management to control costs and facilitate project needs.
6. Develop strategic plans to optimize logistics operations, minimize wastage and inventory costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives during bidding and execution phases.
7. Manage heavy lift operations and associated logistics.
8. Plan and enforce safety norms, organize training, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
9. Participate in preparing shipping, marking, packing instructions, and logistics strategies for projects.
10. Negotiate and finalize contracts with freight forwarders for cargo shipments.
11. Recruit, hire, and train staff, and implement health and safety procedures.
12. Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

A relevant graduate degree with strong analytical and technical skills, complemented by a minimum of 20 years’ experience in the oil & gas and logistics industry, including industry certifications.
