Job Description
- Conduct thorough inspections of waterproofing materials and methods to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and implement detailed quality control plans specific to waterproofing projects, outlining testing methods and acceptance criteria.
- Oversee the application of waterproofing systems, ensuring proper installation techniques are followed to prevent future failures.
- Perform non-destructive testing and analysis of waterproofing systems to detect potential leaks or weaknesses.
- Conduct root cause analysis for any waterproofing failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Review and analyze project specifications and drawings to identify potential waterproofing challenges before they arise.
- Train and mentor junior QA/QC staff on waterproofing standards and quality assurance procedures.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in waterproofing technologies and materials.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of inspections, tests, and quality control measures for future reference and audits.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to address quality issues promptly and provide solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC roles specifically focused on waterproofing projects.
- Certifications in waterproofing or quality assurance (e.g., ICRI, ACI, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects, particularly in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of waterproofing materials, techniques, and performance testing methods.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications related to waterproofing.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially in multilingual project environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
