Job description

As a Aircraft Technician - Line Maintenance in Dubai, UAE, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks on Emirates and third-party aircraft components in accordance with company procedures and regulations. The Aircraft Technician works as part of a team under the guidance of the assigned Licensed Aircraft Engineer within the relevant trade or cross-trade disciplines for which they have been trained.

In this role, you will:

  1. Carry out routine aircraft, engine, and component servicing, maintenance, and approved structural repairs following manufacturers' procedures while observing all safety procedures for fluid replenishment, aircraft refueling, and systems charging/servicing.
  2. Complete component replacements and other maintenance activities as directed by your immediate supervisor. This includes understanding and using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) or other approved documentation.
  3. Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers with troubleshooting, defect rectifications, and modifications, as well as performing instructions in job cards.
  4. Promote a safety culture to minimize accidents, report deficiencies, and ensure all work areas are clean and free of FOD. Maintain excellent housekeeping and communicate safety concerns promptly.
  5. Maintain knowledge of airport safety regulations, including holding and maintaining an Airport Driving Permit, and ensure compliance with airport maneuvering area requirements.
  6. Manage performance by working with your supervisor on development plans, including training needs, using the MyBC system.
  7. Attend promptly to all assigned tasks to maximize ground time and prevent operational delays or disruptions. Obtain aircraft/component status updates from the Licensed Aircraft Engineer and communicate defects during shift handovers.
  8. Use current knowledge and experience to assist in resource allocation using RMS/RTC when required.
