We are seeking an AMS Application Engineer to lead the design, simulation, and real-time support of optimized well programs. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and innovation of our drilling operations, while contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.

Purpose:
The AMS Application Engineer plays a critical role in the successful planning and execution of aerated mud drilling operations. This position is responsible for designing optimized well programs, performing advanced multiphase flow simulations, and delivering real-time technical support to ensure safe and efficient drilling. By collaborating closely with the AMS Coordinator and operational teams, the AMS Application Engineer drives performance improvements, provides actionable insights through data analysis, and supports innovation in aerated drilling practices. This role also contributes to technical documentation, post-job evaluations, and knowledge transfer, reinforcing a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the organization.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Design and optimize aerated mud drilling well programs, ensuring compatibility with downhole conditions and drilling objectives.
Perform multiphase flow simulations using WellFlo to model and predict fluid behaviours in complex drilling scenarios.
Collaborate with AMS Coordinator to provide technical solutions for AMS operations.
Analyze real-time drilling data and simulation results to make operational recommendations.
Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and post-job analysis.
Provide on-site or remote support during critical phases of aerated mud operations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry technologies and best practices in aerated drilling and multiphase flow systems.
Support training initiatives for junior engineers and client personnel when necessary.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Geology, or equivalent.
Technical Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of WellFlo and other multiphase simulation tools.
Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pressure control, and wellbore hydraulics.
Proven ability to interpret well schematics, drilling programs, and simulation data.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities; capable of working in both office and field environments.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in aerated mud drilling operations.
Languages: Fluency in English.
