Summary of the role

As an Airline Account Manager at Amadeus, you will be responsible for managing and developing both new and existing customer relationships in the airline sector. Your role involves driving customer acquisition, ensuring the success of Amadeus solutions by delivering exceptional service, advocating for the customer, and fostering strong relationships across all levels of customer organizations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product and service delivery and contribute to business development strategies that increase revenue and profitability.

You will have the chance to:
  • Drive new customer acquisition and manage existing customer relationships, ensuring success with Amadeus solutions.
  • Develop tailored solutions based on in-depth knowledge of Amadeus' products and communicate the value proposition effectively to both new and existing customers.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers within Amadeus and customer organizations to ensure smooth information flow and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Oversee contract execution, working with legal teams to resolve issues and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
  • Ensure alignment of services, contracts, and invoices.
Business Development & Retention
  • Implement strategies for business development and retention for assigned customers.
  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities to grow relationships and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Support sales, legal, and other teams to adapt approaches to meet customer needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with various departments to act on priorities and objectives, ensuring alignment with account plans.
  • Monitor service quality, escalate issues, and request improvements.
Business Development & Budgeting
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to product teams on customer requirements and pricing.
  • Manage sales, negotiations, and contracts for additional products/services.
  • Contribute to proposals, respond to RFPs, and represent Amadeus in customer interactions.
  • Keep CRM systems updated with accurate data.
About the Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's/Master's in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in a leadership role involving IT solution sales, account management, or related areas.
  • Experience in large enterprise IT sales and complex B2B solutions.
  • Preferably, experience in the travel industry and airline products.
  • Strong conceptual, negotiation, and strategic communication skills.
  • Ability to lead virtual teams and collaborate across functions.
