About the Role

As the Operations Manager at InstaShop, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our last-mile logistics across the region. This position involves overseeing key areas of operations—whether outbound, inbound, or reverse logistics—and ensuring that our fleet meets the highest standards of performance. As a key team member, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and implementing progressive tools and technologies to enhance fleet efficiency.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Providing hands-on operational support for last mile implementations
  • Ensuring the fleet meets key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery speed, cancellation rates, unit economics, and star ratings. Have these KPIs readily available for regular discussions
  • Managing a team that directly supports riders, tracking daily performance metrics
  • Identifying and help in implementing new tools, technologies, and processes to improve fleet efficiency and operational performance
  • Tracking progress and improvements in fleet operations, providing detailed reports to management
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports required by management
  • Planning new launches of stores and regions, and ensure optimum supply is available
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders for seasonal peak/off-peak periods and plan driver supply.
  • Liaising with 3PL providers to ensure their driver performance is efficient and meets the company’s standards
  • Mentoring and supporting new team members

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or any other relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in fleet roles and at least 2 years in fleet management within q-commerce is preferred
  • Proven experience in managing a fleet of drivers or logistics teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for managing and analyzing large data sets on vehicle performance, driver behavior, and costs
  • Exposure to fleet and picking dashboards and tools.
  • Strong commercial awareness
