Job Responsibilities
- Assist the PSD Team Leader in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities and modifications on PSD systems.
- Conduct routine PSD system inspections, identify surface defects, perform repairs and technical cleaning.
- Manage safe system of works to meet tight maintenance schedules.
- Test the functional performance of electromechanical assemblies using various instruments, replace and install electrical and electronic parts, align and assemble components using electronics tools, hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.
- Supervise repair, rework, and adjustment operations of mechanical assemblies and systems, verify dimensions and clearances to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.
- Perform fault diagnostics and component replacements on the PSD system in a time-sensitive manner.
- Follow maintenance procedures, instructions, operating rules, and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Support the PSD Team Leader and technical staff in implementing complex systems or new projects.
- Be assigned to the First Line Response Technicians team when required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records of PSD, tools, and machinery performance using a computerized management system.
- Perform duties as instructed by the PSD Team Leader and senior PSD staff.
- Implement and follow safe access procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Willing to perform night shifts and emergency duties.
- Knowledge in maintaining and repairing PSD systems, including force and belt tension measurement, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, equipment inspection, and assistance to FLRT is desirable.
- Vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and safety protocols.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management, highlighting performance metrics and improvement areas.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and software.
- Assist in installing and configuring new PSD technologies for seamless system integration.
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of PSD equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance.
