Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team to ensure efficient operations and professional growth.
  • Manage stock levels and maintain organized storerooms.
  • Implement and utilize inventory management systems to optimize stock and minimize waste.
  • Plan and oversee budgets, focusing on purchasing and cost control.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on pricing, new products, and suppliers.
  • Support F&B projects and assist departments during peak times or absences.
  • Develop sustainable purchasing practices aligned with environmental and social goals.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet operational needs and guest expectations.
  • Participate in menu planning and recipe costing with the culinary team.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality and timely deliveries.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts for favorable terms.
  • Ensure food safety and quality standards are maintained throughout procurement.
  • Handle administrative tasks like order tracking and invoice processing, ensuring compliance.
  • Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports for senior management, highlighting KPIs and improvement areas.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality or hotel procurement with strong operational knowledge.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with a good understanding of purchasing and inventory systems.
  • Effective communicator and team player across all organizational levels.
  • Capable of maintaining composure and control during busy periods.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Strong negotiation skills and positive supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost management in hospitality.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Experience in implementing sustainable purchasing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decisions.
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
