Job Description
As an F&B Trainer, your role involves collaborating with the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Executive Chef, and the entire F&B Team to develop, plan, and manage learning and development programs for the Food and Beverage division to meet both individual and organizational needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef in planning, managing, and administering pre-opening training plans and requirements.
- Develop and manage a pool of departmental trainers to ensure regular and consistent training across operational departments.
- Promote and inform team members about all training programs.
- Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify excellent customer service, and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
- Help colleagues identify behaviors that contribute to service excellence.
- Ensure ongoing training for colleagues to understand guest expectations.
- Use effective training methods to ensure colleagues understand guest satisfaction and can demonstrate related skills.
- Meet regularly with departmental trainers to support training efforts.
- Partner with operational leaders to assess employee technical and leadership skills.
- Review guest feedback and satisfaction data to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure training activities are aligned with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Identify performance gaps and collaborate with managers to develop appropriate training to improve performance.
- Align training programs to impact key business indicators effectively.
- Participate in developing the F&B Department training budget.
- Manage department expenses to meet or exceed budget goals.
- Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in F&B Service and training within a luxury hotel.
- Experience in creating training content in a hospitality environment is preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable delivering training to senior management and all organizational levels.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
- Good team player with the ability to partner with business leaders and strategize to achieve sales targets and resource efficiency.
- Proven management skills in leading, motivating, and managing team members to achieve learning goals.
