Job summary

A leading company in the UAE is seeking an AVL Technician to ensure the safe operation of audio, video, and lighting systems for rides and attractions. Job description

Job Scope

  1. Conduct daily checks, startup, and closing procedures for AVL systems on all rides and attractions.
  2. Ensure AVL availability systems are prepared well before park operational hours.
  3. Maintain and prioritize safety for colleagues and guests by ensuring rides and attractions are safe.
  4. Promptly respond to and resolve downtime issues with rides and attractions.
  5. Minimize downtime through preventive maintenance following manufacturers' requirements.
  6. Report and communicate issues affecting safe operation of AVL systems to Team Leaders.
  7. Complete and submit preventive maintenance checklists by deadlines.
  8. Understand single line diagrams for audio, video, and lighting systems, as well as rack elevation diagrams.
  9. Familiarize with products and solutions offered by the Show Technology department.
  10. Test, label, and organize cables and products before, during, and after installation.
  11. Assemble racks and install equipment as required.
  12. Ensure effective corrective maintenance to prevent recurring issues.
  13. Attend training sessions and briefings for personal growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Trade certificate or diploma in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in the AVL field and 1 year in installation.
  3. Expertise in at least one of the following: Electronics, Computer Engineering.
  4. Good understanding of English (written and spoken).
  5. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
  6. Knowledge in projectors, QSC, Dante, show control systems, media servers, and relevant certifications.
  7. Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of AVL equipment in a theme park or hospitality environment.
  8. Proficiency in troubleshooting, IP networks, and understanding schematics.
  9. Ability to work under strict timelines and lift weights up to 25 kg.
