As a Simulator Technician, you will carry out preventive maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on Emirates training simulators and associated training equipment working under the direction of the Engineer Flight Simulators. Your responsibilities include performing daily maintenance checks on all training devices, supporting visual calibration checks and setups, and undertaking complex technical tasks under supervision. The Simulator Technician ensures that the Flight Training equipment is fully serviceable and maintained according to manufacturers' specifications.

In This Role, You Will

  • Carry out routine daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks as prescribed by the flight simulator manufacturer, maintaining proper records in accordance with the approved Quality Plan.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on flight simulators to verify system operation and maintain records as required by Regulatory Authorities. Familiarize yourself with simulator systems to effectively check device operation. Repair minor defects and document actions; report complex issues to Engineers.
  • Conduct weekly corrective maintenance on simulator visual systems to ensure optimal performance per manufacturers' recommendations.
  • Maintain cabin training simulators and all associated equipment to the highest standards.
  • Perform repair tasks on flight and cabin training simulators, proposing effective solutions in liaison with other departments and external contractors.
  • Implement configuration changes on flight simulators following established procedures, resolving faults or reporting complex problems to Engineers.
  • Assist Engineers with device fault rectification and equipment overhaul, applying electro-mechanical engineering principles and skills.
  • Record simulator training logs, usage, and defect details clearly and concisely, providing sufficient information for reference by Flight Crew and Engineers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Vocational diploma or equivalent (12+2 or similar).
  • At least 1+ year of experience in Flight Operations, preferably within a civil aircraft-engineering environment, including a minimum of two years on-the-job training in an airline or approved aircraft maintenance organization, or three years in a technical/maintenance role within a civil engineering organization.
