Qualifications

• Recognised degree and professional teaching qualification relevant to English education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging middle school English lessons aligned with the American curriculum.
• Develop student proficiency in reading, writing, grammar and speaking.
• Teach a broad range of literary and informational texts.
• Guide students in analysing themes, characters, structure, language and authorial purpose.
• Design writing tasks to develop narrative, analytical and research-based skills.
• Establish clear learning objectives and curriculum progression.
• Use varied teaching strategies to address different abilities and learning needs.
• Create student-centred activities that encourage discussion and collaboration.
• Prepare teaching materials, presentations and digital resources.
• Integrate educational technology into reading, writing and research activities.
• Assess learning through classwork, projects and exams.
• Provide timely feedback to improve accuracy and depth of analysis.
• Plan targeted intervention for students needing support.
• Provide extension activities for high-achieving learners.
• Maintain records of attendance and progress.
